Senator of French Parliament

Senator Hélène Conway-Mouret served as Minister for the French Abroad in the government of Jean-Marc Ayrault II from June 2012 to March 2014. She has been a member of the French Senate since September 2011, representing citizens living abroad.

Having spent 25 years in Ireland, she was part of the diaspora herself, earning a Higher Diploma in Education from Trinity College Dublin, a Master of Philosophy, and a Diploma in Management Practice from the University of Ulster. Before returning to France to pursue a political career, she was Director of the Department of Languages at the former Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT).
