John Farrelly

John Farrelly is the CEO of the Mental Health Commission and the former CEO of the Charities' Regulator. John was the first CEO of Ireland's Charities Regulator, and was deputy Chief Inspector of Social Services in the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA).
In these previous roles he was responsible for the strategic development and execution of a full programme of regulation to enhance quality, safety, trust and confidence. He has 30 years experience in health and social care services.
He is a graduate of the Royal College of Surgeons, Smurfit Business School at UCD, the Honorable Society of Kings' Inns, and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
