Senator
Senator Hélène Conway-Mouret served as Minister for Diaspora in the Government of Jean-Marc Ayrault II from June 2012 to March 2014. She has served as a member of the Senate of France since September 2011, where she represents French citizens living abroad.
She was a member of the diaspora herself when she was educated and worked in Ireland. Spending 25 years here she received a Higher Diploma in Education from Trinity College Dublin, a Masters of Philosophy and a Diploma in Management practice from the University of Ulster. Prior to returning to France to embark on a career in politics Minister Hélène Conway-Mouret worked as the Director for the Department of Languages in the former Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT).
